Good to know

Questions people always ask

Do we need to know how to drive a boat?

Nope — every charter comes with a licensed captain, so nobody in your group needs a boater card or any experience. Your captain handles the boat; you handle the playlist. Tips for the captain (15–20%) are appreciated.

Can we bring our own drinks and food?

Absolutely — BYOB is the Lake Austin way. Bring your own drinks, coolers, and ice — there's plenty of room to stow them. Cans and plastic only, please — no glass on the water.

Can we swim? Are floaties included?

Yes and yes. Lake Austin's water stays calm and deep, and your captain knows the best swim spots. The lily pad, swim ladder, and life jackets in every size are all included.

What if the weather turns?

If storms make the lake unsafe, we'll reschedule you for free — any open date, no questions asked.

Where do we meet the boat?

We depart from Lake Austin, just minutes from central Austin — much closer than the Lake Travis marinas. Exact dock and parking details come with your confirmation text.
